I have raised £5100 previously for the St Elizabeth hospice in Ipswich and people gave so generously for my first ever marathon in Brighton in September 2021. This updated target is to enable me to reach my original £10,000 total target.

The hospice helped me to nurse my dad through the final weeks of his oral cancer to his death at home in 2019. Without their home carer support I could never have coped and dad couldn't have stayed with me at home which was his first choice. They allow you to dignify your loved ones requests. I can never thank them enough for their support.

Their support was needed again for our family far too soon as my mother in law was taken ill and diagnosed with terminal cancer just before Christmas. Their team were brilliant and took her in to their unit straight away. They surrounded her and her family with care, dignity and devotion despite the complications of covid restrictions. Her name was Chris Kelway and she was a loving and devoted mother and mother in law. She passed after only a few weeks on the 14th of December, but I know the team worked so hard to ensure she didn't suffer and she was pain free and settled.

The hospice don't charge for any of their services and I owe them so much. One day you will need them.

Please support me as I get ready for my 2nd marathon... Running just for the hospice in the hope that I can pay them back for what they have done for my family.
