I am running the Manchester half marathon to raise money for Willow Wood Hospice because of the amazing respite and end of life care they give. 

My Mum had incurable cancer and she was so ill that we were so desperate for help. She was taken into Willow Wood hospice for end of life care. The staff were so caring and looked after her so well. This allowed our whole family to concentrate on my mum rather than worrying about her illness. In her final days this allowed us to be there for her without worrying and feeling scared.

My Dad has very recently passed away of a heart attack and I know he wanted me to do this run and help to raise money for the hospice. 

I am running in memory of my brave Mum and Dad ❤️
