The fund was established in 1985 to provide funds for the Special Care Baby Fund at the Princess Royal Hospital Farnborough Kent. We provide equipment and training for staff and seek to improve all aspects of the comfort and experience of both babies and parents during and after the recovery period

Story

Wendy Grover sadly passed away on Monday 31 October 2016 at the age of 59, following a short, hard fought battle with sudden and unexpected illness.

People who knew Wendy would be aware of her drive for helping others and ensuring everyone gets a fair chance in life.

Wendy always worked in caring professions during her life including the police in Lambeth and Croydon and the Croydon home library service. She made a difference to so many peoples lives in her own time too with volunteering and her infinite capacity for kindness, love and her big heart she was a VERY special lady!  With this appeal we hope to continue that influence a bit further.

The Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) held a place close to Wendy's heart because of their fabulous work during the pregnancy, birth and early stages of life with their youngest son Mark who was born at 31 weeks.

The family kindly ask that rather than buying flowers you consider a donation towards the SCBU in Bromley.

Wendy has gone far too soon but she will never be forgotten.
