The Three Peaks are:

Ben Nevis - Scotland: 1344 metres
Scafell Pike - England: 978 metres
Snowdon - Wales: 1085 metres

Bowel Cancer Facts

Bowel cancer is the third most common cancer in the UK affecting both men and women
  • Every year, more than 36,500 people are diagnosed with the disease: that’s someone every 15 minutes
  • Bowel cancer is the second most common cause of cancer death in the UK affecting men and women
  • Every year, nearly 16,000 people die from the disease: that’s someone every 30 minutes
  • 85% of all diagnoses are in people over the age of 60
  • Bowel cancer is highly treatable when caught in the early stages
  • Most symptoms do not turn out to be caused by bowel cancer

    Yes for me this will be a challange....but nothing compared to the challages faced by patient's diagnosed with bowel cancer.......during my time within the unit their strength, courage, determination and spirit at time humbles me.
