The Essex Horse and Pony Protection Society (EHPPS) attained charity status in 1987. We strive to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome equines in need. We do not receive any government funding and rely solely upon donations from the public.

Story

In April 2023, I will be taking on the challenge of running the London Landmarks Half Marathon. I signed up for this in a moment of madness and now it’s only 3 weeks away - 😱😩 The only exercise I do is riding my horse so now it’s time for me to run for them! Slightly concerned I’m going to make it to the finish line before the time is up… 😆  EHPPS do fantastic work for many neglected horses and ponies, and attend horrific cruelty cases and do their best to take these poor animals back to their sanctuary to rehabilitate them with a view to fostering them out where possible.  I currently have a foster pony, crazy Shay, who Blake loves dearly.  I’ve been a supporter of the sanctuary for many years and would truly love to raise some funds for them - any horsey person will know the cost of keeping these lovely animals!

Thank you so much in advance for donating whatever you can, however small, it seriously will make a massive difference.

Love Wend (and Shay) xx
