Volunteering every Thursday with Sifa Fireside in Digbeth made me experience first hand what great work this charity does. It's a safe heaven for the homeless in Birmingham, where Mon - Fri they can come to get breakfast and lunch (we cook about 150 meals a day), have a shower, a shave, wash their clothes, get clothing items or a sleeping bag, receive housing support, make a phone call, learn English, see a doctor or even a chiropodist, as being on your feet all day (and often night) takes it's toll... 

Please help me raise money for this great charity: the smallest amount will help to buy a shower gel, a bar of soap or a pack of wet wipes. You wouldn't believe how grateful so many homeless are for being able to have a shower and a shave! 

I'll be hiking Offa's Dyke Path for the next 8 days, covering between 15-20 miles a day (I might need to see a chiropodist after this ;-), raising much needed funds for Sifa Fireside. Please help me do it!
