Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We are a team of random gym goers and the common denominator is a personal trainer called Jake Wenman. He set up the Wenman Games at Wyboston 1 Life gym and we train and compete with one another and have all become great mates along the way.

We celebrate birthdays and support one another during the good times and the bad which is why this page has been set up.

Our dear friend, Tina Thompson, has been diagnosed with breast cancer and has an operation soon followed by chemotherapy. Her outlook is very positive and we hope to support her in many ways throughout the coming weeks.

Before her diagnosis she organised for the "gym lot" to do an Uventure 12 km obstacle course on September 29th in Cranford Hall, Kettering. We are all training towards that at the moment but thought we could also raise money at the same time for an amazing charity that may hopefully directly benefit her.

Hunts Community Cancer Network (HCCN)comprises of the Hunts Community Cancer nursing team, the HCCN Charity and volunteers.

"Working together and delivering a home based nursing service, our aim is to help people who are recovering from or living with cancer in the Hunts area to take back their lives and to play an active part in managing their health. The team is based at the Woodlands Cancer unit at Hinchingbrooke Hospital. They see patients at home, at work, in the hospital or even somewhere neutral for a cup of coffee if necessary!"
