Everest in a month (climbing the height of Everest in your back garden) · 8 April 2020

We support women, children and young people experiencing domestic abuse. We have three refuges and an outreach support service for women in the community. We also campaign to eliminate domestic abuse in our community.

Story

I had decided to do this “Everesting” task of completing 1000+ vertical steps a day for 30 days (height of Everest) to give me a task to do in the current “stay at home” lockdown.

It can be boring, and I needed a little additional motivation. So I have decided to raise some money for charity, as so many are struggling just now.

Due to current situation of “lockdown” due to coronavirus, I am aware of the dramatic rise in domestic violence. Staying at home is not safe for everyone - men, women and children. Belfast & Lisburn Women’s Aid provide confidential support, information and emergency accommodation for women and children affected by domestic violence.

No matter the amount, any small contribution you could make to this would be deeply appreciated.

Safe safe!
