We would like to raise money to purchase a defibrillator for
West End Lawn Tennis Club. Cardiac arrests at sports events have increasingly
been making headlines, demonstrating why this is an important device to have
access to at the club.

According to the Resuscitation Council UK¹, a
person’s survival from cardiac arrest decreases by approximately 10% for each
minute defibrillation in delayed. The nearest defibrillator to the tennis club
is currently a 6-minute walk, there and back- we really need our own
defibrillator closer for emergencies.

To raise money, our Juniors will be braving the Scottish
elements by camping out on our tennis courts on Saturday 18^th
