Feeding America West Michigan has been fighting hunger and food waste since 1981. We serve 40 counties in West Michigan and the Upper Peninsula.

Story

41% of moms recently reported food insecurity, the highest level since 2001 according to the Brookings Institution. We are raising funds for Feeding America to help people facing hunger.

Last month the U.S. News stated, "As parents across the country lost their jobs and schools closed their doors, the number of households with children who weren't getting enough food due to a lack of resources surged.” The nonprofit Feeding America projects that some 18 million children could be food insecure in 2020.

With the need soaring, nutrition advocates say much more support is required to address child hunger. In 2019, our local Feed America food bank distributed 24.2 million pounds of food - the equivalent of 20 million meals. However the current pandemic and economic crisis is causing the need is grow exponentially. Working together we can end hunger and provide food security for thousands of families who have never experienced uncertainty like this before.

Every dollar you give to Feeding America enables them to provide 4 meals worth of food for our neighbors in need.

You can make a big difference! Please join us in the fight against hunger.
