We are a new charity that provides free, ongoing, one to one listening support for people living with autoimmune diseases. Your donation will help ensure that this support can continue to be provided to those we serve.

Story

What's the plan?

I'm venturing to the Scottish Highlands from the16th-23rd September to walk the beautiful but challenging West Highland Way. Rain, midges, blisters ahoy! It's a long-distance trail that starts in Milngavie and stretches 154 km to Fort William and the foot of Ben Nevis. (To climb or not to climb? Depends on the state of my feet.) I'll be carrying my own gear and wild camping where possible. I'm raising money for the charity the Wren Project. They do some awesome work and you can read more about them below.

What is the Wren Project?

The Wren Project is a small UK charity that began in 2020 and works to support individuals struggling with recent diagnoses of chronic autoimmune diseases. Through free, ongoing 1-1 listening services they help individuals feel less isolated as they navigate a new diagnosis and the emotional challenges that it can bring. Their support goes beyond the medical symptoms to focus on the psychosocial and mental impact of life with a autoimmune condition. For more information on the important work they do check out their website: https://www.wrenproject.org/.
