At this time it is a perfect storm for the RNLI with fundraising events nearly all cancelled and call outs increased as more people are traveling to the coast the RNLI funds are depleting , so any kind donations will help guarantee the fantastic selfless service that our lifeboat volunteers provide around our coastline 24\7 .
THE BIG ROW CV-19 socially distanced ROW Challenge: supporting the RNLI
The premier event in rowing – A challenge that will take us more than the equivalent of 66 Miles West from West Kirby to Holyhead. The endurance row takes place Friday 19th June at 5pm come rain, or shine, with a solo team of 3 intrepid rowers gathered from the 3 corners of West Kirby to take on this behemoth of a challenge. The atmosphere is electric as people help each other prepare for the challenge of the mighty row at the hands of Poseidon. All with the same objective – to take on the unprecedented experience of covering what seems like an ocean of rowing.
An unsupported row that will have many challenges physically and mentally for the socially distanced athletes this fundraising will follow strictly the government social distance advice and will take extra time with disinfecting and distancing between rows
We hope you can come together and support us and the RNLI for whom we are undertaking this challenge.
