Weyland Rance - North Devon Hospice

The plan was for me to cycle from Lands End to John O Groats, with my Dad driving a support vehicle. Our target was to raise £10,000 for the Hospice, and to complete the journey in 5 – 6 days.
Well, I managed to achieve 1 out of 3 targets. I completed the ride in 8.5 days (56 hours of pedalling) & got well over half way towards my £10k target. It proved to be far more mentally challenging than I had anticipated, but physically wasn't too bad.
A massive, and heartfelt, thanks to everyone who supported me in my endeavours.
I am not ruling out a second attempt (although my support crew might be!). The main lesson that I have learned from this is that it is much easier if there is at least one other cyclist. So, if there is anyone who wants to be part of a fundraising duo in a couple of years time for the North Devon Hospice (and who is confident enought to go for a sub 50 hours pedal time) then please get in touch.
Many thanks to all involved,
Weyland.
