To Allah we belong and to Him we shall return. 

Haji Muhammad Saleem, lovingly known as Baba Saleem by hundreds in the community left this world to return to the Almighty. May Allah grant him the highest of place in Jannat al firdaus. A loving husband, father, friend and the kindest of gentlemen Baba Saleem held the room with his wonderful presence. He made children and adults smile and always offered kind words to everyone. In the years of the central Mosque being open Baba Saleem has been a humble servant to the house of God, he made effort to help clean and beautify the Masjid. He loved the scholars of the Mosque and would go out of his way to greet them and make time for them to sit with them and share conversation with them. He greeted everyone with a smile and a caring question. He lovingly took it upon himself to plant fruit trees and flowers around the Mosque to please Allah and to try and brighten up the surrounds of the house of Allah. 

In memory of the Baba Saleem we are fundraising to deliver Sadaqh Jariyah (ongoing charity) for Baba Saleem. We hope to raise funds to build a Mosque in his name in District Nawabashah, Sindh, Pakistan.

 The Messenger of Allah,  peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, then Allah will build for him a house like it in Paradise.” Sahih al-Bukhari 439, Sahih Muslim 533.

A mosque is at the heart of any local Muslim community. 

It provides a place for its worshippers to pray and contemplate as well as being a hub for educational programmes and other everyday services. The role of the masjid is to help people learn more about Islam and to nurture their moral and spiritual development. By building a mosque for Baba Saleem we pray that Allah will accept this sadaqah and will earn him the reward of providing a community with a house of Allah, and Sadaqah Jariya will continue by giving benefit for generations to come insha’Allah.
