31st SPAR Omagh Half Marathon & 5k - Saturday 28th March 2020 · 28 March 2020

The NWMRT provides a search and rescue service for those requiring assistance in mountainous, remote or hostile environments. Our volunteers respond 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We are dependant primarily on the generosity of the general public. Northern Ireland Charity No: NIC100059

Story

The North West Mountain Rescue Team has one of the largest operational areas of any mountain rescue team in UK or Ireland. Excluding the Mourne Mountains, their operational area is the geographical boundaries of Northern Ireland, extending to approximately 12,600 sq kms or 4,800 sq miles. They have three sections spread across the operational area, based in Enniskillen, Magherafelt and Broughshane, allowing them to deploy resources quickly to any location.

A number of us from Alexander's Office are pushing ourselves, and taking ourselves out of our comfort zones, to take part this year, in the 31st Omagh Half Marathon and 5K Run, to raise money for this very special charity, which we all hold very close to our hearts. We wanted to give back to the charity and thank them for all their hard work and efforts, and long may they continue doing their fantastic work!

Thanks

Everyone at William & Henry Alexander (Civil Engineering) Ltd
