Aspire Channel Swim 2024
Campaign by Aspire (RCN 1075317)
The original Channel Challenge. Swim 22 miles, over 12 weeks, in the comfort of your local pool, starting on 9th September. Anyone can take part wherever and whenever they like. Raise essential funds for people paralysed by Spinal Cord Injury.

Story

I'm taking on the Aspire Channel Swim 2024 challenge, I’ll be swimming the distance of the English Channel – 22 miles (verified by Apple fitness/strava) over 12 weeks to raise money for Aspire.

Many of you already know I was paralysed from the neck down and I’ve had to learn how to walk and use my arms again, I also underwent a bone marrow transplant 9 months ago- hydrotherapy and swimming have became a core feature of my ongoing recovery. So i’m hoping to raise money by undertaking this challenge- to help others with life changing spinal injuries too.

Every four hours someone is paralysed by Spinal Cord Injury and Aspire provides the essential equipment, advice and housing that spinal cord injured people need to live their lives independently.

This is a big challenge, but the more I raise, the more of a difference I'll be able to make, so if you can please sponsor me any small amount you can possibly spare- it will enable me to help others who have struggled like myself.

Thanks
Tracy xx
