Doddie Cup 500 · 12 February 2022 to 12 March 2022 ·

At 10am on 10th February 2022, over 100 cyclists will leave BT Murrayfield Stadium with the match ball for the Doddie Weir Cup. Their aim will be to get to the Principality Stadium, in Cardiff, in time for the KO of the Wales v Scotland match.

Story

I have seen first hand what a nasty disease MND is, with my good friend’s dad succumbing  to the disease 3 years after diagnosis.

Originally I volunteered to be support bus driver for the Isle of Coll team - a couple of days of good craic and beers in Cardiff without having to suffer through all that biking.

But here we are now, starting from Langholm I’m getting on the bike!

I haven’t been on a bike in 10 years.

I have had a hard paper round.

I have 3 weeks to prepare.

Please donate to this great charity and write down how many miles you think I will be able to manage.

Many thanks,

Billy Henderson.

My Name'5 Doddie Foundation has ploughed £6.5m into MND research in the last 4 years, and we hope that a breakthrough in treatment will be just round the corner, in time for Doddie, and to help the countless future victims of MND.
