Run the Ribbon! · 25 November 2020 ·
Without the help of Dash my life would be very different today.
I'd like to share my story , well as much of it as I feel Comfortable so far.
Before and during the first lockdown of 2020 I was made a victim of domestic violence.
I was mentally, physically and emotionally abused for little over a year, manipulated, gaslighted, brainwashed and physically hurt.
The tragedy was that once it came to the final attack I could have lost my life and that's the sad truth when it comes to most domestic violence cases.
I under went extreme situations from being locked in rooms , being stamped on, pushed around , extreme mental abuse and then eventually beaten and strangled within an inch of my life.
Luckily my justice was served and I can happily move on with my life with the fantastic help, love and support I received from DASH.
Without their help I can whole heartedly say I wouldn't be as strong as I am today let alone be here today.
I will run 5K for the White ribbon day on the 25th November to help raise money for DASH to continue to help support victims of domestic violence .
