The Ralph Bates Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund provides grants for research into causes of and treatment of pancreatic cancer.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. As some of you may know my father died of pancreatic cancer in March of 2005. It was a massively difficult time for us as a family especially as everything happened in 10 months. This is one of the worst things that will ever happen in my life, but in the wake of this tragedy, I decided before Christmas, that I would use my drive and determination to take something positive out of this, such as running the marathon for charity. Pancreatic cancer is one of the most lethal cancers, but also the least funded. In this way by acting together we can make a difference to this special cause.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Ralph Bates Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Cancer will touch most of our lives if it already has not. Together we can make a difference.

Many thanks
