On Saturday 3rd July, while the nation enjoys yet another World Cup clash and Finals Weekend at Wimbledon, spare a thought for the Wholesale HRLT who, with considerably less training than either Wayne Rooney or Andy Murray, will begin a physical and mental endurance test of their own.
Taking team building (quite literally!) to new heights, Paul Hucknall will be joined by Richard Buxton, Nichola Clyde, Paula Coniglio, Matt Hubbard, Brendan Kelly, Helen Lloyd, Fiona Murtagh, Vicky Riches and Paul Turner in an attempt to climb the Three Peaks of Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon - all in just 24 hours!
Ably supported by our team of chefs/drivers/masseuses - Sue Marchant, Tina Rudzinski and Sandra McKinlay - our mad dash will cover nearly 500 miles and will involve a combined climb of more than 3000 metres, all with the aim of raising a staggering £5000 for the British Heart Foundation, Lloyds Banking Group's Charity of the Year.
Every year the British Heart Foundation saves thousands of lives thanks to their ground-breaking research and innovative health initiatives, and charitable donations play a vital part.
For us, the sleep deprivation, blisters and aching limbs will be a small price to pay if we reach our target, so please dig deep and donate now - and help us make a real difference.
