Each week at least twelve young people in the UK die suddenly as a result of undiagnosed heart conditions. At Cardiac Risk In the Young we aim to save young lives & to help those affected by the sudden cardiac death. We do this by providing support, information & screening those affected.

Story

EVENT DATE: SUNDAY, 11th MAY 2014

Thank you for taking the time to visit Why Not Run's JustGiving page.

This is the 3rd year of Why Not Run and this year we will be raising funds for The Ben Daniels Memorial Fund (www.bendanielsmemorialfund.co.uk) in association with CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young).

Ben tragically passed away in 2011 from an undiagnosed heart condition aged just 15 and this year's Why Not Run event hopes to not only raise a considerable amount of money for Ben's Fund, but also hopes to raise awareness of the importance of having young people screened. The funds raised from this event will go towards a screening session for young people aged 14 to 35 years in the local area.
