RNLI volunteer lifeboat crews provide a 24-hour search and rescue service all around the UK and Ireland, while lifeguards keep a careful watch on the UK’s busiest beaches. RNLI lifesaving and drowning prevention depend on supporter fundraising and the generous donations that you and others give.

Story

16 brave souls are taking on this testing challenge in aid of Wick Lifeboat.  Stroma is an uninhabited island in the Pentland Firth.  At only 3.75.km with just some sheep for company these brave souls will have to endure the elements, forage for what little food there is, and with no electricity available survive these most demanding conditions.  The team that completes the most "Stroma Trials" will be the winning team!!

They will be rescued from the island on 23rd August by lifeboat and taken to John O Groats in conjunction with their Harbour Day Celebrations.
