As many of you know we are seasoned runners however this is a huge challenge for both of us. Jonny has never run this distance before and I did my last marathon in 2004. We both feel passionate about completing this for an amazing charity who supported our sister and brother in law when our newborn nephew was critically ill. 

Ronald McDonald house in Southampton provided free accommodation for them just a short walk away from the ward whilst their little boy was in hospital. 

Thanks to the brilliant Doctors and Nurses at Southampton general our nephew made an amazing recovery and is now a cheeky, happy, smiley 2 year old.

It is now right that we give something back to help support others who need it so please donate what you can. It would be amazing motivation for all the miles of training runs watching the total go up.

At Ronald McDonald House Charities we provide free 'home away from home' accommodation at specialist children's hospitals across the UK, enabling families to stay close to their child and maintain a degree of normal family life. There are many families who need our support - to help build even more Houses across the UK, we have a team of runners taking part in the ABP Southampton.Taking place on Sunday 26 April 2019, our runners will take part in either a 10k, half marathon or full marathon through the streets of Southampton.Please help us to keep more families with their sick children by donating and supporting our 2020 Southampton running team.
