National Three Peaks Challenge · 13 July 2019

Llanberis MRT is one of the busiest in the UK with an annual callout rate of over 220 incidents. Based in and around the Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) area the team is made up of about 50 volunteers who are all experienced mountaineers. As a registered charity we rely entirely on your donations.

Story

When Brick Brewery invited Wild Horse Brewing Co to take part in their 3 Peaks Challenge Collaboration challenge, we were thrilled at the idea and signed ourselves up!  Brick have collaborated and brewed special release beers with three breweries all located within close proximity to the three highest peaks in Scotland (Ben Nevis), England (Scafell Pike) and Wales (Snowdon).

The collaboration is going one step further and a team representing the four breweries will be undertaking the 3 Peaks Challenge itself Saturday 13th July! Starting at Ben Nevis and ending at Snowdon, we’ll be attempting to climb all 3 peaks in 24 hours.

Myself (Emma) & Ryan H will be representing Wild Horse in this challenge. We've been training hard over the last few months but are in no doubt that it's going to be very tough! Big shout out to my training buddy, Freddie, who was just 7 weeks old when I agreed to take part in this back in March. He's been with me for most of my training walks but no, he won't be joining me for the real thing!

A portion of the sales proceeds from the Wild Horse collaboration beer (Summit Fever) is going to the Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Organisation but we'd also like to fundraise for the Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team for anyone who would like to sponsor us.
