Story

UPDATE 4 -

Frantically and furiously we are getting these miniatures painted, only to stop and take a breather and discover we've beaten the target AGAIN!

You are all wonderful and incredible. With another 30 hours or so of the challenge itself to tick over, we've upped the target yet again.

We are humbled and grateful to everyone who has shared and donated. Thank you, and wish us luck!

UPDATE 3 -
Well, we're in awe. We've hit the target of £1000! This is nothing short of spectacular and we cannot possibly express how incredibly appreciative we are of the support that we have received. To everyone who has shared the page and/or made a donation, we thank you to the moon and back.

With another week still to go until we start painting, we're going to increase the target again. Hitting this new target would be breath-taking, but considering we started out at £300, we couldn't be more proud to have helped to raise this money for SpecialEffect and all the excellent work that they do.

To everyone yet again, thank you so much from us both.

UPDATE 2 -
Needless to say, we're stunned! Our second target has been achieved after only three days of hitting the previous one. The kindness and generosity that all supporters have displayed is a testament to this wonderful community along with the incredible work of SpecialEffect.

Let's kick it up a notch as we set our third target. A whopping £1000! We've already done magnificently up to now, hitting this new goal would be nothing short of a spectacular bonus. If you guys can help us get even partway there, we'll be over the moon.

Thank you again to everyone who has donated and shared our page. In a time where there's a lot of uncertainty and unease, it's causes like this that help shine a little light on those who deserve and need it most.

One more thing...we've been gifted something very special from a very generous donor. Those whom are keen players or collectors for Warhammer 40K may wish to keep their eyes peeled for further announcements/posts from us! Be sure to check back.

UPDATE 1 -
Wow! Needless to say, we're amazed. We hit the initial target in under 2 hours. We are indescribably thankful for all the donations thus far.

Let's keep this party going! We're raising the target to £600. With 3 weeks until the challenge commences, let's see if we can raise even more money for this spectacular charity and make a positive difference to even more souls.

Story -

We (Chris and Kenny) have been both avid players of tabletop games as well as keen miniature painters for many years. With our birthday coming up we thought we would have a bit of fun that other folks can contribute to in the name of a great cause!

We have set a fun challenge to each other to paint an entire "Start Collecting!" set of Games Workshop miniatures in 24 hours to see what we can achieve in such a small time-frame. We're asking you wonderful folks to donate alongside our challenge which will see all proceeds passed on to the SpecialEffect charity.

SpecialEffect are a charity that puts fun and inclusion back into the lives of people with physical disabilities by helping them to play video games. Using technology ranging from modified games controllers to eye-control, they are finding a way for people of all ages to play to the very best of their abilities. There's no one-size-fits-all way of doing this, so SpecialEffect's expert team meet people face-to-face to find out exactly what they want to play and assess what they will need to play it. They then match or modify technology to create and loan truly personalised gaming control setups, and back this up with lifelong follow-up support.SpecialEffect don't charge for any of their services, so rely 100% on donations raised by gamers and the wider community. That's why events like this are so important in helping them to keep doing whatever it takes to raise the quality of life for as many disabled gamers as possible.Discover more at http://www.specialeffect.org.uk
