Stu was a good friend of mine and a great guy. His life was sadly cut short at the age of 27 after a long and difficult battle with bowel cancer. Since his passing last year, Stuart's family have set up The Stuart Andrew Lawtie Memorial Fund, currently still working through Lothian Health Board Endowment Fund on this website, which focuses on supporting an annual conference at The Western General for research into rare cancers in young people and improving facilities in chemo therapy wards. Cancer is something that will effect all of us in some form at some point in our lives and is especially unfair in young people, so please dig deep and sponser for this worth while cause.
