Snowflake joins Parkinson's UK from London to Paris
Campaign by Parkinson’s UK (RCN 258197 and Scotland SC037554)
On the 28 August the Snowflake team will be setting off from London with the aim of cycling to Paris in three days, all in aid of Parkinson's UK.

Story

10th August 2018

I, along with my new work colleagues at Snowflake will be raising money for Parkinsons by cycling from London to Paris between the 28th - 30th August. Those that know me will realise that this will present some fairly significant challenges for my not-so-athletically-designed body.

You'll notice the main image on my page is of two cyclists riding off into the sunset. Primarily this is because I have no pictures of me on a bike, because I have never ridden a road bike before. A great starting point for a 300-mile race from London to Paris - A clean slate if you will!

Training thus far has consisted of wearing an ab-belt I purchased from Amazon that claims to leave users with 'rock hard abs', and watching cycling videos on youtube. Neither have worked particularly well.

I am asking for donations for a great charity. In return, donors will receive a home made video of my efforts highlighting my training and a showreel of the struggles and likely deep discomfort I will have faced throughout the journey.

Thank you and let's get after it!

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.
