West Highland Marathon · 16 September 2017

VA has been helping veterans in crisis since 1932, regardless of age, ethnicity, faith, rank or length or service. Uniquely, it takes immediate action when homelessness, debt, addiction or social isolation threatens to destroy a life. Important to read: http://www.veterans-aid.net/support-us/

Story

Hello! We've decided, perhaps quite stupidly, that we're going to run the "West Highland Marathon" in September, this year. The marathon starts at Glencoe village and follows an undulating path, 548m up the "Devil's Staircase", back down to sea-level, up and down a few more mountains and finally to Glen Nevis.

However, in the process of sprinting up Scottish mountains, we'd like to raise some money for a great charity - Veterans Aid. They take in and look after homeless ex-servicemen from the streets. With a staggeringly high success-rate, they transform struggling veterans into self-reliant, high-flying individuals, who are able to fully cope with the challenges of everyday life.

Therefore, we would be enormously grateful if you would consider sponsoring me on their behalf. Whether it's £1 or £1000, every donation makes a colossal difference to them.

Ta.
