Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Rory Whitrow, Rupert Atkins and I plan to cycle from Lands End to John O'Groats this August. Whilst testing ourselves physically and mentally, we will undertake this huge challenge to raise money for three charities very close to our hearts.
I am raising money for Make a Wish Foundation - a charity which grants amazing wishes to children with life-threatening conditions. I have seen first hand the positive effect such a happy moment can have on a child's treatment - even giving them such a boost that they turn a corner on the road to recovery. At the same time, a wish provides wonderful and lasting memories for the whole family.
Rory is riding for the Haven which supports breast cancer sufferers during and after their treatment and Rupert is riding for Dyslexia Action - a charity seeking to enable all dyslexic people, Rupert included, to reach their potential. If you would prefer to donate to one of these causes, please visit the links below.
Any support you are able to give will be hugely appreciated and will be the motivation I need to tackle each daunting hill and traffic clogged roundabout along the 980 mile route.
You will be able to follow our progress every day during the challenge - details of our blog to follow shortly.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
