Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.

Story

November 10th 2020, I lost my Dad to a Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM) brain tumor. GBM tumors are fast growing and are the most common type of primary malignant brain tumour in adults. The average survival time for GBM patients is only 12-18 months.

Not a lot is known about GBM tumors. There is no known genetic or lifestyle cause and treatment options are limited due to their complex nature.

So... last year, along with the rest of the Patterson clan, I took part in walking the length of Hadrians Wall to raise funds for Brain Tumour Research in memory of my Dad- Lee Patterson. This year, it's time for another fundraising challenge!

I'm going to be abseiling the 170ft down the side of Barton Square Tower at the Trafford centre, with all funds raised continuining to go to Brain Tumour Research.

All donations, big or small, are welcome. My target is to raise £250!

Thanks!!!
