In the finest traditions of the Royal Marines, when our colleague, friend and fellow officer, Maj Tim Addison RM tragically passed away last year, his kit was auctioned off in the first virtual Kit Sale. One of the lots was to decide the forfeit for a game of spoof, this is what was chosen:

- Deliver the auction lot won by 30 Commando (a shirt) to
the Commanding Officer at RMB Stonehouse.

- The delivery must be made in one continuous journey using
only self-power (eg. Cycle, run etc).

- The loser must wear silly rig at all times.

This is the plan, bearing in mind cycling all the way is the
cowards’ way out:

- Cycle 300 miles from 45 Commando in Arbroath to RMR
Merseyside.

- Kayak 300 miles from Liverpool to Plymouth.

- Dressed as WW2 Commandos.

- Starting 16 Aug, finishing 4 Sep.

We are hoping to raise £1000 for the Royal Marines Charity
and have the sort of adventure along the way that Tim would have approved of.
