Story

Hi there! Thanks for taking the time to visit Charlie and my  JustGiving page.

On October 2nd 2022 I will be running the London Marathon in support of Henshaws specialist College in Harrogate which my brother Charlie attends.

My younger brother Charlie, was born with severe epilepsy and has a number of additional needs.

I would like to run and support Henshaws given the profound positive effect the Harrogate college has had on the life of my brother and my family. From day one, the staff have created learning programmes that support Charlie's individual needs. The activities organised for Charlie have enabled him to learn new skills, develop his confidence and participate in new experiences which simply would not have been possible otherwise.

Charlie has been fortunate enough to be a part residential student and this has provided the opportunity for him to develop his independence whilst enabling my parents to spend more quality time with each other, which before Henshaws was extremely difficult to organise.

I am honoured to represent a charity that is so close to my heart and would love to raise some funds to assist the college in supporting other families in the way that it has mine.

Any support is greatly appreciated!
