London to Brighton · 9 September 2020

We are the Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) and we're leading a movement against suicide, the single biggest killer of men under the age of 45 in the UK.

Story

On the Wednesday 9th September the two of us will be taking on the 55 mile bike ride from London to Brighton. Not only are we doing this for a personal challenge but we are doing it to raise money and more importantly raise awareness about men’s mental health.

Men’s mental health is a huge issue in modern society with suicide being the biggest killer of men aged between 20 and 49.

The main issue with men’s mental health comes from men themselves and being afraid or embarrassed to speak out about their feelings and emotions, which is why any money raised will be given to the incredible men’s mental health charity Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM). CALM has web chats and open phone lines that are active 24/7 with someone on the other end to talk to so that you can let your feelings out and not suffer in silence.

Men speaking out about their feelings needs to be normalised and with the help of charities like CALM it makes it that bit easier to.

Taking your own life is the never the right option, things always get better.

Spread the love, you never know what people could be going through.

Thank you,

Ish and Will x
