Ice Ultra · 24 February 2017

Over 150,000 of us in the UK have MS. It’s unpredictable and different for everyone. But it doesn’t have to be this way. We’re the MS Society. We understand what life’s like with MS. We're here for you through the highs, lows and everything in between. Together, we are strong enough to stop MS.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My Mum is amazing.  MS changed her life.  It took a lot away from her bit by bit and has left her bed bound.  And you know what?  She has just got on with it.  She has adapted to whatever has been thrown at her and maintained her sense of humour and generosity of spirit throughout. Her resilience is inspirational.

My Mum is amazing.  She didn't have a choice about her life changing but I am choosing to change mine and it only seems right to do it with her in mind.

I am not a runner.  Not at the moment.  Over the next year I will train myself from reluctant jogger to endurance athlete and at the end of this training I will attempt to run the Ice Ultra.  I'm going to need a little of her resilience to stand a chance at this.

The Ice Ultra is one of the toughest foot races in the world.  The temperatures up there get down to -20 degrees and there is more than a marathon to run everyday.  I can barely conceive of me doing this.

Anything you give will help to support those like my Mum, and the families who are also effected by MS, and to fund research into fighting it.  Every little helps and I can't tell you how grateful I am for every donation that comes in.

Thank you

Will and his Mum
