Paris Marathon 2014 · 6 April 2014 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Visiting this page and making a pledge, big - or small can make a difference to so many lives. Especially for younger generations like mine, who have all but lost our grandparents to dementia.

Not only for myself and my cousins but to our entire family who have seen this condition afflict loved ones who once were the wonderful, charistmatic heads of our families residing as motherly, caring figures for over 80 years but later in life were restrained by Alzheimers and Dementia.

This could be anyones family affected by dementia: but for us, Stella who died this year and to Barbara who still suffers from dementia, I dedicate running 26.2 miles for.

Paris 2014 will be my 3rd marathon, but this will be different - I aim to raise £1000 for the Alzheimer's Society to help all generations continue the legacy of our freinds and family through just a small donation in order to help support the 800,000 people with dementia in the UK and continue the fight against it.
