Will's Ben Nevis Challenge 2019

Ben Nevis Challenge 2019 · 15 June 2019
We've joined together to raise money for a charity close to our hearts - The Teenage Cancer Trust.
My colleague, Gemma, was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 2017. The Teenage Cancer Trust has supported Gemma during her treatment over the last eighteen months. We are pleased to say Gemma has now made a successful recovery and is looking forward to completing her university degree.
As a way to say thank you, to raise awareness and a "mountain" of money for the charity we have organised a team to climb Ben Nevis, Britain's highest peak, on 15th June 2019.
We are training hard and looking forward to our challenge alongside raising lots of money with your amazing support.
About the Charity
Around seven young people aged between 13 and 24 are diagnosed with cancer every day in the UK.
The Teenage Cancer Trust creates world-class cancer services for young people in the UK, providing life-changing care and support so young people don’t have to face cancer alone.
They also fund specialist nurses and youth support co-ordinators to support the young people in these units. They've been specially trained to understand what it's like to have cancer when you're young, giving support and helping young people to feel less isolated.
Charities pay a small fee for our service. Learn more about fees
