We pioneer life-saving cancer research to help us beat cancer

Story

Ladies and Gentlemen, as some of you may know I was diagnosed in 2016 with Stage 2 Classical Seminoma, commonly known as Testicular Cancer. This the most common male cancer and around 2300 men in the UK will suffer it in one year. This Cancer is the most curable if caught early with a 95% chance of survival. Many men are often to embarrassed or shy to confront issues down below and it can have fatal consequences. I was lucky, something kept me here, I caught it early. Maybe it was just a wake up call, who knows. its imperative that we spread the word and make men talk about their problems, as often many men are not so lucky and my thoughts go out to the families of men this horrific disease has taken. After my operation life became strange. After 'surviving' the cancer, my whole world was shaken and you look at the world through completely different eyes, in good ways and bad ways. After a few months because I only had one real remaining testicle I was confirmed infertile. The cancer had eaten away one testicle and damaged the other. You can imagine for a 20 year old boy who just had cancer was then told he can never have children was a double whammy. For any young man being told he wont be able to carry on his genes or be a father is one of the worst things he can be told. I had to take a few years off to have a breather and enjoy the things in life i could have easily had taken away from me. This is unfortunately why I had to cancel my original fundraising plans. Four years have passed now and some light has been found. After careful well-being and doctors orders and a positive outlook my fertility came back and I was able to freeze some sperm for the future. This meant the world to me. I'M BACK. ITS TIME TO RAISE THAT MONEY. TIME TO GET TREKKING. My friend and I will be travelling to the Himalayas in May to travel 4500 m above sea level to the Pindari Glacier!!!! Thank you to all those who have donated so far and thank you for your patients. You've been kind and I appreciate it. We are raising £2500 for Cancer Research UK who's work saves lives everyday - hopefully our money can help in its own little way. I have seen what Cancer can do at every angle, growing up with it in my family, seeing my mother and two aunties have it twice which resulted in us losing my Auntie Helly. So, as much as this is for everyone, its for you Auntie. With all my love to everyone and a huge thank you to anyone that can help us raise the £2500 target. PEACE AND LOVE XXX
