Story
In memory of my close mate Harry Garratt who sadly passed away on the 23rd March 2021, with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia, I will be running 2 marathons in 2 days and raising money for the Anthony Nolan charity. This charity was very close to Harry’s heart as it makes lifesaving connections between patients in urgent need and strangers willing to donate their stem cells.
I will be running a marathon by myself on Saturday 2nd October and the London marathon on the Sunday 3rd October, dressed in full Arsenal colours (Harry’s favourite team).
Every day, Anthony Nolan saves the lives of people with a blood cancer or blood disorder. We do this by matching incredible individuals willing to donate their stem cells to people who desperately need a lifesaving transplant. We also carry out cutting edge scientific research, fund specialist post-transplant nurses and support patients and their families through the transplant process and beyond. We won’t stop until we save the lives of everyone who needs a stem cell transplant. Every penny you donate brings us closer to that day.
