Story
Thankyou for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
On the 2nd of July 2011 our first son, William, came into our lives. Beautiful, brave and eternally loved, he fought the twin battle of being born prematurely and also having a condition which meant that the growth of his lungs was restricted both in-utero and also post-birth. Although he battled for 10 days, we lost William on the morning of the 12th of July. William was only with us for a short time, however we feel blessed that we had someone so special in our lives and we would like something positive to come from his short time with us.
We couldn't have asked any more from the staff who looked after William in the Peter Congdon Neo-Natal Unit at Leeds General Infirmary; they were all amazing. Therefore, we would like to raise much needed money to help support other babies like William and parents like ourselves.
Thank you so much to all the fantastic people who have helped us raise such an amazing amount so far. Our Lovely friend Kate Lowe is undertaking the next big challenge by participating in the York Marathon on 12th October. She is currently training hard in preparation to take on this amazing challenge. We can't thank Kate enough for doing this in memory of William and if you would like to show your appreciation then please donate to this worthwhile cause, and help us contribute even more to the Peter Congdon Neo-Natal Unit at the LGI. Thank you in advance for your kind contribution.
