Story

I found Wolfie's on Facebook in 2019. I was struggling without a dog for company and as I am on crutches, I cant proactively walk an able-bodied dog. Wolfie's found me my perfect matches in one hit - we all limp, and have scars and trauma but we help each other. I cannot thank the charity enough. Rosie is my tri paw (3 legs). She was abandoned in the Mountains of Romania but fortunately rescued by two lovely ladies. Her rear leg had to be amputated plus her toes from the other rear leg. In spite of this, she is so loving and cuddly. Rocky is my little Wolfie's boy, named because he fought distemper and survived. He was left with a twitch and limps, but doesn't let that stop him. He absolutely loves Rosie he follows her everywhere and in turn, they both follow me. I suffer from PTSD and I am confident that these two dogs saved me. They are the reason I get up in the morning they make me smile every day, especially through the lockdown! - Jessie Mcdonald, Doncaster -

Whilst there are lots of charities for able-bodied dogs, no one was helping dogs with special needs. Rejected at ‘rescues’ & put to sleep by vets, because they're disabled. Wolfie’s Legacy gives a voice to dogs with no hope, & since 2017 has rehabilitated & rehomed 500+ dogs of all ages, with varying degrees of disability.
