Alzheimer’s Research UK is the UK’s leading dementia research charity. We’re striving for a cure, by revolutionising the way we treat, diagnose and prevent dementia.

Story

I'm going to be running 100k this month in memory of my grandad (Graddy) who suffered from dementia. I'm hoping to raise some money for Alzheimer's Research to contribute to their efforts of helping those with dementia. I've seen the effects that this illness had on him and our family and I wouldn't wish it on anybody. It would have been his 76th Birthday on the 4th, so this seems like a better time than ever for me to raise money for the cause.

100k might not seem that much to a seasoned runner, however, I'm the polar opposite. I feel like it's going to be fairly tough but I'm committed to completing it. I was inspired to do this by Kitty Knight who did 100k last month for Manchester Central Foodbank.

Any donations would be much appreciated!

Wish me luck!
