London Marathon 2022 · 2 October 2022 ·

Our team of 10 wonderful runners will be running the iconic 2022 London Marathon in aid of White Lodge. On the 2nd October the team will run 26.2 miles, go team!

Story

So there's a number of reasons why this is a big deal for me which I'll get into later but I'd like to introduce White Lodge first:

White Lodge is a charity that supports individuals with a range of disabilities, their families and carers to enable them to lead fulfilling lives. This means supporting physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, a specialist nursery, hydrotherapy, holiday clubs, personal support in the home, short breaks (respite), fitness and rehabilitation and many activities such as trips out, art, baking, swimming, and much more.

Their vision is "a world which is inclusive to all, regardless of ability"

They currently support over 2,500 individuals across Surrey and beyond through a diverse range of services for all ages and abilities.

As a soon to be father of 2, I can fully appreciate all the work they do and the benefits the individuals and family/carers will experience, with access to White Lodge's facilities. So I think it's amazing for me to be part of their journey.

As number 2 is due in November, I suspect this will be the last marathon I run for a while and we all know if you're going to go out with a bang, London is the one to do.

I've also completed Ride London 100 and the Swim Serpentine 2 mile event so I will be eligible to collect my "London Classics" Medal at the finish line also.

Please help me complete this life ambition and support this charity!
