Story

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for checking out this page, your one step further than most!

Earlier this year my Grandmother Judith Hogg passed away, she had suffered with cancer for almost two years and although it was the cancer that she died from the most debilitating aspect was her lymphoedema. Lymphoedema is a swelling that develops as a result of an impaired lymphatic system, it usually takes place in an arm or leg and in her case she had a very swollen left leg. It is estimated that over 100,000 people suffer from lymphoedema in the UK. Unfortunately, there is still a major lack of medical knowledge and expertise about Lymphoedema, however the Lympoedema Support Network is striving to educate patients about their lymphoedema and support them throughout their treatment.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Lymphoedema Support Network gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

It would be fantastic if you could sponsor me, every little bit little helps! I'm hoping to do the Marathon in three and a half hours, so i'll donate £2 for every minute im over!

See you all soon
