We are running 48k in 21 hours, starting at 1.22am on 15th April 2022 to raise funds for Gossett Ward in Northampton General Hospital.

Our son William Thomas White was born six and a half weeks early on 04/08/21 at 1.22am and we want the distance we run/walk/crawl to represent him. 

We want to support Northamptonshire Health Charity as without the incredible doctors and nurses, and specialist equipment on Gossett Ward, William might not be here today. We want to say a huge thank you to absolutely everyone who helped us and William during his 16 days in hospital. It is our dream to raise a fundraising target that could buy an incubator for the ward, like the one that saved William’s life.

We plan to run 2.28k at 22 minutes past the hour, every hour, with the first lap starting at 1.22am and the final lap starting at 9.22pm on 15th April 2022. 

We will run around Moulton village in Northampton and would love for family, friends and anyone who has experienced having a premature baby, or who has had a baby looked after in Gossett ward, to join us for a lap or to cheer us on. William will also be joining us for a couple of the daytime laps in his running buggy.

Each lap is likely to take us around 15 minutes but we will likely get slower each hour, so it doesn’t leave much time to eat or any time to sleep, which is going to be a huge challenge.

We also just wanted to take this chance to say another massive thank you to all of our family and friends for their incredible support during what was a really difficult time after William’s birth. We are truly blessed to have you in our lives. Your kind words, text messages, cards, presents, phonecalls, visits and most of all your strength and love, carried us through those days until we brought William home to meet you all.

And here we are again asking for your love and support, and any donations you can make towards this very special cause.
