New Year... New Challenge:
As lot of you will Know my Mum was diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis in 2021. PF is a chronic and progressive lung disease in which the air sacs in the lungs become scarred and stiff, making it difficult to breath and get enough oxygen into the blood stream. There is no known cure for PF except for a lung transplant. Mum is currently waiting to go to Newcastle Hospital to complete her final tests for a double lung transplant.
Gareth Armstrong and I will be running this year’s 2023 Mash Direct Belfast City Marathon which takes place on Sunday 30th April 2023. 26.2 miles of torture it you ask me, but I’m game for a challenge. This is completely outside of my comfort zone but look forward embracing the challenge alongside Gareth to raise much needed funds for a very worthy charity.
Training is well under way, so if you see us out and about give us a toot and show us your support. As they say ‘’move over we’re coming through’’
