Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I’m running 5 half marathons in 1 week to raise money for Birmingham women’s hospital.

I was due to run the Birmingham half marathon, but that got postponed, and the Stafford half marathon I caught covid so couldn’t run.

So my daughter will be 2 by the time I run these half marathons, but I will not forget the way the women’s hospital and especially the neonatal intensive care unit looked after Willow during her first week of life.

She was not very well when she was first born picking up an infection through the labour process, so we spent a very scary and exhausting week in the hospital with her. Including a few days in the NICU.

The work they do down there is amazing, I don’t know how the people find the strength of character to work in that environment, seeing  and helping such poorly young children.

We were very lucky compared to many other families whose children face far worse than Willow did.

So this is for Willow, Naomi, all the staff who work so tirelessly and for all the families who face even harder times.

Every little helps, so Thankyou for donating if you can.
