The main reason behind my decision to run for The Evelina appeal was because the charity has affected me personally.

My Cousin had a baby boy called Seth 2 months prematurely, it was very much touch and go for Seth because he hadn't developed properly. His heart stopped beating and everyone feared the worst. Thanks to the fabulous staff at Tommies hospital Seth's life was saved. What Tommies did for my cousin and our family is incomprehensible, I'm running to make sure many other families get the same opportunities, like my cousin Samantha and her husband Matt did.

I have recently done the Silverstone Half Marathon in a time of 1.52 h, currently feeling very stiff and sorry for myself!! I'm told it is decent preparation yet I somehow managed to put myself out of action for a week. The things you do for kids!
