Loch Ness Marathon 2021 · 3 October 2021 ·

We support people seeking asylum and refugees through a wide range of service from our advice and advocacy team to our bike library. We are here for all people seeking asylum in Glasgow and provide a regular programme of community activities in Govan including community meals and ESOL classes.

Story

I am currently training (11 weeks in!) for the Loch Ness Marathon (aiming for sub 4h). Follow my journey and donate a few quid to make all the blood, sweat and tears on my Sunday long runs a little bit less salty.

You can follow my runs on Strava.

I picked the Govan Community project as they are a local charity who support diverse communities in the local area including refugees and people seeking asylum. With the recent events in Afghanistan we need to support families who have fled their homes in fear of their lives. A few pounds can provide advice and support, English lessons, peer support groups etc. These services can transform a lives and give people hope.
