Alzheimer Scotland is the leading, national dementia charity in Scotland. Our mission is to make sure nobody faces dementia alone. We provide advice, information and support and we are here for people living with dementia, their families and carers across Scotland.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

MY Dad ( on the far left of the group photo) JOHN IAIN WILSON DRUMMOND or 'DECK ' as we all knew him died on the 3rd of July 2017  from Vascular Dementia. He was diagnosed in November2013.

My Mum Nancy Drummond (pictured below)  sadly died on the 2nd of June 2018. She was a hard working woman. Our house was always spotless, our clothes were always washed, ironed and put away for us and she cooked a fresh meal every day. We were not expecting her to go so soon and so quickly.

My Auntie Myra ( on the far right of the group photo) who was my Dads Sister was diagnosed in her 50's with early onset Dementia and she died when she was only 60 years old.

I know a lot of other people who have been effected by Dementia  and friends who have lost loved ones. Pat Baxter pictured below was a lovely lady, the Mother of a very good friend of mine Lucy Spoor. I met Pat a few times over the years and I know she is sadly missed by Lucy and Bill, Pat's husband.

As you will appreciate Dementia has not been kind to my family. I miss my Mum and Dad very much and the memories will last forever.

Thank you for reading my story and please give as much as you can.

Kind regards,

 Wilson Drummond
