Our vision is of a world in which people with deafblindness are equal and active members of society. In partnership with our local delivery partners, we help some of the most disadvantaged and marginalised people to Live, Learn and Thrive

Story

Wilsons Solicitors LLP is proud to be supporting Sense International, the only UK charity focused on building services for deafblind people in developing countries. Their services transform the lives of deafblind people from one of isolation and neglect to one of communication, interaction and self-esteem.

One country in particular need for support is Romania, where it is estimated that there are almost 9,000 deafblind people.   From 11-15 June 2008, our team, consisting of Alison McKenna, Emma Wheeler, Charlotte Watts, James Aspden, Mark Hatt-Cook, Suzie Hatt-Cook, Jill Hasler, Jill Beavis, Penny Anderton and John Pollet will be embarking upon a sponsored horse trek across rural Romania to raise funds for Sense International.  The trek will include six hours per day in the saddle!

We are each paying our own costs and we have a team target of £40,000 so we would welcome any support you are able to give us & thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
